Ensemble Cordes 21

Ensemble Cordes 21 is a group of 17 string players, mostly from Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
This set has a variable geometry since at the option of the programs can be added various instruments: wind, percussion …

Ensemble Cordes 21 was born in 2009 under the impulse of the violinist Gautier Dooghe, in charge of its artistic direction; Principal conductor Olivier Grangean is one of the most talented French chefs of his generation (first prize at the Tokyo International Competition).

The musicians of L’Ensemble Cordes 21 are all driven by the same desire to share the repertoire for chamber orchestra, whether it be the baroque, classical, romantic or contemporary repertoire.

Since its creation, Ensemble Cordes 21 has had the great pleasure of appearing alongside prestigious soloists, such as cellists Xavier Phillips and Marc Coppey, trumpet player Bernard Soustrot, pianists Marylin Frascone and Julien Gernay …

The Ensemble participates in many festivals (International Symphonic Music Festival of Algiers, Festival “Music Moments of Touraine”, “Ars Terra” Festival in Picardy, “Clef de Soleil” Festival of Lille, Festival “Rencontres musicales en Artois” ).
