By choosing its repertoire, open to classical music and its vocation of “Sharing Music“, the Jeune Ensemble Harmonique is unique in its kind.
Composed of forty amateur instrumentalists of all ages (wind and percussion), it is directed with a contagious passion by Denis Simándy, horn player and professional pianist, trained in conducting by Pierre Dervaux. He is also the Artistic Director of the Lille Clef de Soleil festival since its creation in 2001. With the help of Jean-Michel Delavaud, transcriptionist, he can offer and offer us the pleasure of working on works from the symphonic repertoire (Moussorgsky, Dvořák, Bernstein , Haydn, Mozart, Fauré, Wagner …). Always listening to innovative ideas he encouraged the idea of creating (well before the hour) a Peter and the Wolf in ch’ti on the text of the late Laurent Verdru. As part of Lille 2004, he worked on a creation of the composer Gualtiero Dazzi, played world premiere in Villeneuve d’Ascq.
The ensemble has toured around the world (Canada, Belgium, Morocco, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Romania …). His story begins with a tour of Scotland in 1988.
In recent years, his credo “Sharing Music“, illustrates his desire to play with other ensembles in France and abroad and in singular places (Lille train station, retirement homes, accommodation centers). mentally handicapped, recreation center …). He also performs every year since 2012 with the waltzers of Entre2danses for a Viennese Ball at the Espace Concorde in Villeneuve d’Ascq.
