Ralph Szigeti was born into a family of great musical tradition. He began studying violin at the age of 6 with his father, Florin Szigeti, a founding member of the Enesco Quartet. He benefited from the teaching of Larissa Kolos at the conservatory of the 13th district of Paris, then at the CNR of Paris, where he won his Specialized Diploma in Violin in June 2006. Then in September of the same year, he She enters the Specialized Viola Cycle in the class of Marie-Christine Witterkoer, and in February 2007, successfully passes the entrance examination at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris, where she joins Sabine Toutain’s viola class. He is currently in the 2nd year of Master.
Ralph Szigeti has been taught by such prestigious artists as Wolfram Christ, Nobuko Imai, Garth Knox, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Hagai Shaham, John Sulem, Richard Wolfe, and has participated in numerous festivals and academies, such as the Pablo Casals Festival – Prade, Encuentros de Santander, Seiji Ozawa Academy and Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival.
Ralph has completed extensive studies of harmony, writing and analysis, as well as the conductor initiation class of the CNSM.
