His flawless career (several international awards) has also led him to perform in chamber music, including Paul Tortelier, Pierre Amoyal, Vadim Repin, Michel Dalberto, Boris Berezowski, Boris Belkin, Pinchas Zukerman, Natacha Guttman, Gérard Caussé , Régis Pasquier, Brigitte Engerer, Yuri Bashmet, in France and throughout Western and Eastern Europe, Canada, the United States and Israel.

First Cor Super Soloist of the Radio France and National France Philharmonic Orchestras for eighteen years, Hervé Joulain worked with Charles Dutoit, Seiji Ozawa, Ricardo Mutti, Bernard Haïtink, Leonard Bernstein, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Baremboïm, Pierre Boulez, Lorin Maazel, ... Invited by Lorin Maazel, he is now the first Cor Solo of the Symphonica Toscanini in Italy.
Hervé Joulain is also a founding member of the Paris Bastille Wind Ensemble with which he has performed in famous venues in Amsterdam, Rio, Valencia, Berlin, Copenhagen, Tokyo, Lisbon, Paris, Cologne, London ...

His influence led him to participate in about twenty recordings and video recordings.
